Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress as well as a musician, playback singer and actress in Tamil films and Malayalam film. She first made an appearance as an actor with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born to an Anglo-Indian Family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's Father is a Lawyer at the Madras High Court. She has an older sister living and working in Leuven Belgium, as a Research assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was a geek and wanted to be a psychiatrist after passing her 12th board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano when she was just eight. In her twenties, she became a part of a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. She was an actor at her university and participated in a variety of plays staged by The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She served as the head of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the 2006 leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She was also on the Podhigai Channel on a TV series. She acted throughout India. She performed a very brief performance in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the final episode. When she sang a tune for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani in the film which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in a relationship with her and she's blackmailed. Andrea was approached following Simran Shobana and Tabu. The film came out in early 2010 It was announced in the beginning of 2011. perform a small supporting role that was released early in the year.
